Caregiver Coach

For nearly 20 years, Melissa has been impacting the lives of multiple populations.  As a leader and coach for the Caregiver Team at Cigna, Melissa helps to provide services to caregivers who have taken on a very challenging role of caring for a parent, spouse, family member, friend, or significant other.  Since joining Cigna in 2001, Melissa has held several clinical positions and helped develop other teams. Her professional experience includes direct practice experience with a focus on at risk teens, adults, geriatrics and families. Melissa has experience working in a variety of health care settings including mental health and medical hospitals, out-patient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities.

Melissa earned her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation at Winona State University and went on to earn her graduate degree in Master of Social Work at the University Of Saint Thomas. She is licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota.
