
David E. Longnecker MD

In addition to serving on the board of C-TAC, David E. Longnecker, MD, is the Chief Clinical Innovations Officer of the organization, and was also its Executive Director in 2014.
He previously served as a Director at the Association of American Medical Colleges, as well as the organization of U.S. medical schools and teaching hospitals, and was the Robert D. Dripps Professor Emeritus of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania for 17 years. In his role as Director at the AAMC he founded and operated the Chief Medical Officers Group, an organization of more than 400 leaders in the medical field.
He received both his Bachelor’s (1960) and M.D. (1964) from Indiana University.
